Even if I narrowed it down to something even more technical, I would still get a quarter of a million, half of which are the same. How useful is that? You can go on to Yell.com, and because you can search in defined areas, you automatically get the businesses you need. On all other search engines it takes a lot of effort. On Yell.com you might have a few pages that come up but it's all relevant. It's really wonderful; people do like it.

My Yell.com listing started straight away and the book came out in June. When I went live on Yell.com I started getting calls straight away.
As my only form of advertising, it was very easy to monitor. I received calls from London and Edinburgh for a variety of work. The online advert had paid for both itself and the book advert, before the book even came out. When the book came out in June I received two calls that week from insurance companies offering me contract work, which I have now started. I have also been receiving about four or five good calls every week for all sizes of jobs.
I am now at the stage where I have taken on another full time employee and I am starting an apprentice in August. Thanks for the great advice. I look forward to arranging my adverts again for next year.
